Pre Event Story
Tomorrows Café March 8,17
Story by: Abdullah Alsobaihi
Tomorrows Café is an art show given by Amber Coultis, hosted by Washburn University, they have scheduled to present their first art show this semester on March 8, 17.
“What inspired me to do the show was the printing industry” Said Coultis. The show combines three different things that Clouts enjoys, coffee, art, and board games. She gave this art show for her graduation in May.
“We don’t get to much help with putting on the show” Coultis said. She struggled a lot with putting up all the art work on the walls including tables and also designing them and putting them in the right place for the show. “I struggled a lot with time, one of the pieces I wanted to go further with but I ran out of time” Coultis said. She had a lot of work that she wanted to hang up but time was not on her side, especially doing all this with no help.
Some people did not know where the show was, because on how the art work was hung up. “I didn’t really know where the show was” Rajeh said. The art show was all over the walls in the art building and some people thought it would be in a class room, and some thought that an art building would regularly look like this with art work hung on walls everywhere, some of them were confused.
This semester there will be 3 students giving presentations in the art show, Coultis was the first one this semester and two others will go after her.
“I really enjoyed the art show and especially the art drawings, also when she explained it in every detail”. Omar said. “I had two other solo expeditions including this one” Coultis said. That’s how she knew how to give a presentation on an art show explaining everything in details.
The art show was free, it was about 15-25 minutes long. A lot pf people there enjoyed it and were amazed by her drawings and art work, look up when is the next art show at “go.activecalendar.com”.
